My daughter loves eggs. This is great for me because scrabbled eggs are really easy to make (Perfect Scrabbled Egg tutorial to follow - probably in a few days), and because it both reminds me to eat breakfast and gets me thinking about some of my favourite ways to eat eggs.
Coddled eggs are basically steamed or baked in either a ramekin or egg coddler until the whites are cooked, but the yolk is still a bit runny. I like to make mine with a bit of cream, salt, pepper and a sprinkling of a sharp cheese. SO yummy!

'Tis the season to eat vegetables! Get yourself to the Farmer's Market, my friends. Just about everything is in season right now. Fill your fridge. Get your canning supplies together and start gathering up your favourite berries and fruits.
It's insanely hot right now, and no one wants to spend a day or two over a hot stove. I know I don't; but just think of how happy you'll be when it's snowing outside and you can pull a taste of the summer sun off the shelf of your pantry.
Below is a list of what's in season for in BC and Alberta:

Local and seasonal cooking is big in the foodie scene. Somehow it just feels more natural to cook what is grown locally and is currently in season. Here is a list for what June has in store for BC and Alberta:
