We are coming into harvest season, and it's time to start taking the little one out to see where our food comes from.   Over Labour Day weekend, Calgary's Corn Maze and Farm will be celebrating all things sweet corn.

Special attractions include:

• Corn decorating for the kids (11 am to 5 pm) 

• Demonstrations on how to properly eat corn on the cob (Yes, there is a right way) 

• Corn eating contest (1 pm daily) – Random guests will be selected to enter our contest

Harvest season is one of my favourite times of year; crisp air, warm spices, soups, stews, big family meals and farmer's markets.  As we are new to Calgary, my family and I are going to be sampling some of the city's kid friendly autumn attractions.
